Fans of emo and punk in Birmingham, Alabama were treated to a musical feast on May 7th at Saturn Birmingham as Basement performed in a headlining role with Citizen providing direct support. Basement, representing England, had the audience jumping and crowd surfing throughout their set, and this was a mirror of the crowd's reaction to what Citizen, representing the state of Ohio, did earlier in the evening.
This show was one of those that was definitely boosted by the energetic and youthful crowd in attendance. Basement and Citizen both put on great performances, and the crowd absolutely responded with top notch enthusiasm, especially for a Monday night. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and cutting loose to the music being put out by Basement and Citizen. This made for a real fun shooting experience as I was happy to document the energy present in the venue.
