Pop singer and star Betty Who made her return to Saturn Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama on August 22nd and, in the words of the artist, the crowd was much more bigger than her first performance at the venue. That might be due to the fact Betty Who has been blazing a path in the pop music landscape, especially with her latest album, "The Valley", which was released in March of this year. The mainstream pop focus on that album combined with Betty Who's on stage performance style made for an incredibly entertaining show.
This was my first time to see and even hear Betty Who perform. I had not been able to listen to her material before the show so I was going in with the simplistic expectations of a good pop show and performance. Those expectations were blown away by the dynamic stage presence, lighting, and atmosphere Betty Who produced the moment she began performing. Her singing, dancing, and attitude all combined to make for a fantastic show to witness. This is an artist that is absolutely at home on stage and has no reservations or hesitations. That is what a great pop singer and performer should have, and it will only help Betty Who as her career and musical output continues. If you get a chance to check out Betty Who in concert, do not pass up the opportunity. She really does put on a stellar show.
