Blind Pilot calls Astoria, Oregon home. That quaint town in the Pacific Northwest is far from the confines of Birmingham, Alabama, but that is where the band found themselves on February 13th, 2017. Blind Pilot came into the Magic City for a well received and well attended performance at Saturn Birmingham.
Bathed in a warm red hue to start things off, Israel Nebeker and the rest of Blind Pilot got right to work in showcasing the indie folk sound that continues to earn them fans across the country. He and the rest of the band formed an immediate connection and bond with the audience as soon as the music began.
I wasn't really familiar with Blind Pilot before this performance, but they definitely got my attention with this show. I'll definitely be checking out their latest album, "And Then Like Lions" when I get a chance. They will also be a band I'll be keeping my eye in the future as I expect them to continue to put out impressive and powerfully connecting music.
