Fozzy's lead singer, Chris Jericho, is a man that knows how to perform, and that was evident during the band's stop in at Saturn Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama on August 25th. Jericho showcased all the skills and talents he's developed during his years as a professional wrestler and as a heavy metal front man during Fozzy's latest stop on the "Judas Rising" tour. The tour is in support of Fozzy's latest album, "Judas", and fans at Saturn Birmingham were treated to a party of a concert with Chris Jericho, the still reigning Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah, leading the way with many cuts off the "Judas" album along with other selections from Fozzy's catalog.
This was my second time getting to see and photograph Fozzy in concert, and it also served as a night where two of my favorite worlds collided. My concert photography world met my professional wrestling fandom world, and it was quite a wonderful union. Jericho has always been a charismatic performer, and it was great to see him do it on the rock and roll side of things once more. Jericho's front man skills, Fozzy's hard rocking riffs and beats, and killer lighting made for one hell of a concert to photograph. I had been on quite a lull before this show, but I'm glad I got out of it by getting to see this show.
