"Late Night with Saint Motel" hosted a "taping" on November 7th at Saturn Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama and drew a sold out crowd in the process. Some might think this was a hot and brand new late night talk show recording its latest episode, and you would be right in a sense. It actually was the latest tour stop by the band Saint Motel as they brought a multimedia spectacle to the Magic City.
This show by Saint Motel came 7 months to the day when they last performed in Birmingham. That show was an opening slot for Panic! At The Disco. I happened to catch and photograph that performance and came away quite impressed with Saint Motel's overall presentation. This is why I was really glad to catch them in their own headlining spot at Saturn.
The band did not disappoint as they went all out with their stage show and production. The late night talk show aesthetic was complimented by an assortment of classic and not so classic commercials. By the time the band hit the stage, the capacity crowd was more than ready to Saint Motel's catchy pop tunes and hooks. Lead singer A/J Jackson showed off a great deal of positive energy and charisma on stage, which only enhanced the happy and carefree vibes that existed in the room.
It was a super fun show to watch and photograph, and that is because Saint Motel continues to show they are a super fun live band and a super creative one as well.
