July 15th was the second day of the 2018 edition of the Sloss Music and Arts Festival, also known as Slossfest, and it served as a homecoming of sorts for one band, The Brummies. For those who don't know, John Davidson and Jacob Bryant of The Brummies grew up in the Birmingham suburb community of Pinson. The band's name, "The Brummies", is also a slang term for people from Birmingham, granted it originated in the England version of Birmingham, but, hey, it applies to the Alabama one as well.
Seeing The Brummies at Slossfest was a personal treat as well. Like Davidson and Bryant, I also grew up in Pinson, Alabama so it was a blast to see a band with close ties to that area do big things on a big stage at a big festival. Please enjoy some photos from this performance, especially if you didn't get a chance to see it live.
