The Birmingham, Alabama area experienced a deluge of rain on Sunday, February 11th, and that gave many a reason to head to the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center for the last day of the 2018 World of Wheels event. The long running car show was back in town for the weekend and showed why it remains a popular event for many in the Magic City.
I took a trip down to the World of Wheels with my dad, and we both enjoyed strolling around the large exhibition area filled with beautifully maintained automobiles. My dad has a blast seeing all the vintage vehicles on display in pristine condition while I enjoyed getting a chance to photograph an event and culture that's a bit out of my comfort zone. Even though I've been to World of Wheels events in the past, I'm not a big car fanatic. Still, I do appreciate the craftsmanship of the cars on display along with the opportunity to do some people watching and cultural photography.
Overall, the World of Wheels was a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon. My dad and I had a top notch time, and I was happy with the photographs I was able to walk away with from the event. There was so much to look at and experience at the event, but I am confident I was able to get a good representation of things. I do hope you think the same.
