Singer-songwriter ZZ Ward stopped in for a concert at Saturn Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama on September 25th and was met with by a large crowd of rather enthusiastic supporters. The show was part of her support tour for her latest album, "The Storm", which was released on June 30th. The album has been getting good reviews, and that should not surprise anyone who has seen Ward perform live.
This was my first time seeing and hearing Ward perform, and I must say I was definitely impressed with the entire presentation of the concert. Ward's mix of blues, hip hop, and other genres mesh and translate incredibly well in a live setting. Ward's lighting and stage production also complimented her vocal stylings and performance style. It was a charismatic performance that entertained everyone in the room at Saturn Birmingham. If you haven't checked out "The Storm" or see Ward perform, definitely do so when you get a chance. I know I'll be paying much more attention to her in the future.
